Want to paint your bedroom green? Here are the best green bedroom paint colors to narrow down your selection!
We recently gave our owner’s suite a makeover and I knew exactly how I wanted the space to feel: cozy, inviting, relaxed, and beautiful.
After debating a whole slew of colors, we settled on a deep shade of green (Behr North Woods).
While a super dark wall won’t work in every room (this is a big room with lots of natural light, so the dark walls make it feel cozier, not claustrophobic) green walls will work in almost any space.
I personally think that green is the greatest way to add color to a space without necessarily feeling bam in your face.
Here are all of my thoughts – and some favorite shades – on green bedroom paint colors!
Is green a good color for a bedroom?
According to color psychology, green is calming. Of course, calming is perfect for a bedroom!
Green is also universally well-liked, and it coordinates with a lot of other colors and materials. It’s an excellent choice!
How do I choose the right shade of green paint?
You want to first pick a vibe that you like – look for inspiration photos to decide light green, dark green, sage green, etc.
Get samples and test them in your actual space! Test them on multiple walls at all times of day. My Paint Color Formula shares the exact process I use to pick paint colors!
Best green bedroom paint colors
Here are some of my favorite green paint colors for bedrooms!
Behr Nature’s Gift
This is a beautiful earthy green. It’s slightly darker than light green, with both blue and gray undertones. It really transforms in different light!
Sherwin Williams Watery
Behr Laurel Tree
This is a sage green thats just slightly bright, but has gray undertones so it’s not neon at all.
Behr Trailing Vine
This is a deep true green color that I used as the background color for Luke’s jungle mural!
Benjamin Moore Sage Wisdom
This is a brighter sage green, but it still has those gray undertones that keep it from reading neon or pastel. A great color depth if you want green on your walls without feeling dark.
Sherwin Williams Silver Strand
OK – so this is really a gray paint color. But, it is a gray with blue green undertones. It’s a popular neutral but just green enough to fit in well on this list.
Sherwin Williams Sea Salt
This is a light blue green color that people even consider neutral. But, it’s definitely green. It’s a great option if you want a hint of green without it being too in your face.
Behr Bitter Sage
This is another great green. It reads as a lightened up olive green, with warm yellow and tan undertones.
Benjamin Moore Saybrook Sage
This shade of sage green has a lot of yellow to it. That gives it great warm, cozy undertones. I’d only use this one if your flooring or tile also has warm tones to it.
Behr North Woods
This is a deep green color with muted undertones, so it doesn’t look too forest green but almost black.
Benjamin Moore High Park
This is a medium-dark sage green color. It’s a super on trend shade!
Sherwin Williams Rookwood Sash Green
This is a very rich forest green. It has just a touch of blue undertones, and in cool light could look a bit teal. I love how dramatic it is on cabinets!
Benjamin Moore Waller Green
I love that this green is very dark but not overwhelmingly green. It almost looks charcoal in certain lighting.
Sherwin Williams Pewter Green
This is the perfect earthy sage green paint color. It is gorgeous on the exterior of a home in an earthy, wooded lot!
Benjamin Moore Night Train
This green color has a lot of gray undertones to it, making it not feel too bright. It instantly makes a room feel cozier.
This is an almost teal green color because it has a lot of blue undertones to it. Gorgeous and perfect in an owner’s suite!
Behr In the Moment
This is another green with a lot of blue undertones – but it is definitely green and not blue!
Behr Black Bamboo
This is a gorgeous medium toned sage green paint color. It’s very earthy and works well in boho style homes!
Sherwin Williams Shade Grown
This beautiful deep green color has a vintage feel and pairs really nicely with metallic tones and light neutrals.
Clare Current Mood
This trendy color has a lot of blue undertones to it, making it a beautiful teal green paint color.
This is a rich, true green color. It’s super dark making it moody and perfect for a small space.
Sherwin Williams Coastal Plain
This is a lighter, bright, beachy green color. It almost reminds me of sea glass!
Sherwin Williams Rock Garden
This is a deep emerald. In a bright room, it will feel energized and not dark and dreary.
Sherwin Williams Retreat
This is a dusty olive green color, with a lot of gray to it so it doesn’t at all feel overwhelming.
Benjamin Moore Cushing Green
This is another great blue-green color. It’s medium toned – not too bright, not too dark – so it will work in a wide variety of room sizes!
Sherwin Williams Talipot Palm
Looking for the perfect palm leaf green paint color? If you like maximalism, color, and pattern, this could be the perfect green paint color for your home!
Benjamin Moore Dakota Shadow
This is really a gorgeous olive green paint color! It has a really earthy, boho feel to it!
Sherwin Williams Acacia Haze
This is a dusty olive green color. Perfect for a trendy, sage green wall!
