Looking for the perfect off-white paint color for your home? Let’s compare Eider White vs Incredible White to see if one might be perfect for your space!
Off-whites are popular paint colors because they provide a good neutral base and look good with virtually any decor style.
Off-white paint colors can provide a cozy, welcoming feel, which is great for people who feel that pure white is too stark or sterile.
There are many great choices for off-white paint colors.
It’s necessary to dive into the specifics of paint colors before deciding. Undertones and lighting can play a huge part in how a painted room feels!
Today I want to compare two super popular shades of off-white paint – Eider White and Incredible White.
Let’s talk about the difference between these two popular shades.

Eider White vs Incredible White
Eider White and Incredible White are both off-white paint colors that are great neutrals.
The two colors are very similar in terms of undertones and color depth.
What is similar about Eider White vs Incredible White
Both Eider White and Incredible White are off-white paint colors that can read pink or purple depending on a room’s lighting.
They can be referred to as light grays or greiges, as they may appear that way in certain lighting situations.
Both are popular choices for those looking for a warm, neutral paint color.
Their color depth level is very similar (74 and 73), which means they will reflect almost the same amount of light back into space.
Both of these colors may look dingier in darker rooms and brighter in well-lit naturally light rooms.
What is different about Eider White vs Incredible White
While both Eider White and Incredible White have gray undertones, Incredible White also has taupe undertones as well, which makes it a warmer paint color.
Eider White is slightly darker and cooler, but the difference is so slight it’s not often noticeable. It also appears more muted in some lighting situations.
While Eider White seems to change its appearance more in different lighting situations, Incredible White is a bit more consistent.

Light Reflectance Value
Light Reflective Value is the measurement of how much light a color bounces around.
This is on a scale of 0 to 100, with 0 being pure black and 100 being pure white.
Eider White has an LRV of 73, and Incredible White has an LRV of 74, which means Eider White is slightly darker.
The difference is so small, that it may not even be apparent if you swatch the colors side by side.
Generally, anything with an LRV from 72-82 is considered off-white, so both colors are on the darker end of off-white.
Undertones
Both Eider White and Incredible White have gray undertones.
However, Incredible White also has taupe undertones, which causes it to lean slightly warmer.
Both colors can look pink or purple, often in southern-facing rooms with lots of warm lighting.
If your room is north-facing, these colors will feel less warm and more neutral. They may even appear slightly dingy, depending on how dark your space is.
In south-facing rooms, both colors will appear warmer.
It’s very important to swatch colors on your wall to make sure they look good – day and night – in your actual space before committing.

How do I decide between these two colors?
These two colors are very similar.
If you’re looking for more of a gray off-white, I’d go with Eider White.
Note that Eider White does seem to change more often in different lighting situations, so it’s a good idea to look at swatches during both the day and night to ensure you like it before committing!
If you want more taupe or warmth to your walls, I’d go with Incredible White. Incredible White is also a strong choice for kitchen cabinets or trim.
Incredible White is not often a top choice for a home’s exterior, as it can look washed out in so much natural light. Eider White is a better choice for an exterior.
