    Behr Mineral: Complete Color Review

Published: Jan 6, 2026 · Modified: Apr 3, 2026 by Meg · This post may contain affiliate links ·

Trying to find that just-right neutral paint color for your home? Let’s talk about Behr Mineral and if it suits your place!

So let’s talk about Mineral and see if it’s one you’ll actually love living with.

Lately, I’ve noticed more people leaning toward softer neutrals. Not stark white. Not heavy beige. Something in between.

That’s where paint colors like Behr Mineral come in.

Beiges that lean greige have a really nice balance. They feel warm, but still soft and easy on the eyes. You get that cozy feel without the color taking over the room.

Let’s break down what makes Behr Mineral work.

    Behr Mineral Paint Color Guide

    Mineral, Behr, UL170-15

Mineral is a warm beige paint color, but it doesn’t always read that way.

    Color Family

Mineral is found in the yellow family.

    Light Reflectance Value

    64

LRV tells you how much light a color reflects, on a scale from 0 to 100. Zero is black, and one hundred is pure white.

With an LRV of 64, Mineral is a light, creamy color. It appears as a light and bright color without being washed out.

I like this range when I want a space to feel bright but still have some warmth.

    RGB Colors

    R: 215 G: 209 B: 197

RGB shows how much red, green, and blue are mixed into the color.

Here, everything is pretty balanced. That’s why Mineral feels soft and neutral.

It doesn’t lean too hard in one direction, which makes it really easy to work with.

    Hex Code

    #d7d0c6

    Behr Mineral
    Behr Mineral

    Undertones

Mineral has warm yellow and brown undertones.

In south-facing rooms with lots of natural light, you’ll see more warmth come through, and the whole space feels soft and sunlit.

In north-facing rooms that lack natural light, Mineral looks a bit darker, a little cooler, and more greige.

I’ve seen this one change quite a bit depending on the light, so I always test it first and check it throughout the day.

    Best Uses

Mineral is one of those colors you can use almost anywhere.

It’s neutral enough to work as a whole house color, which makes life a lot easier if you want a consistent look.

I also like using it for:

    • Furniture
    • Living rooms
    • Bedrooms
    • Kitchens
    • Bathrooms
    • Home exterior
    • Interior doors

If you're debating between these two colors, my advice is simple: swatch them both. Paint samples on your walls, check them in different lighting, and go with the one that feels right.
