These colors are similar, but mint is usually brighter while sage green has those gray undertones making it more subdued.
The best sage green paint for north facing room
North facing rooms have cool toned light that will make paint colors look cooler. A cool sage might read as teal or blue. So, for a north facing room, choose a sage green with more yellow to it.

The best sage green paint for south facing room
South facing windows let in warm yellow light. So, they make wall colors look warmer and more yellow. If you don’t want your sage green to read as too warm, instead choose a sage with more blue or cool tones to it from the list below.

Benjamin Moore High Park
This is a medium-dark sage green color. It’s a super on trend shade!
Benjamin Moore Night Train
This green color has a lot of gray undertones to it, making it not feel too bright. It instantly makes a room feel cozier.
Behr In the Moment
This is another green with a lot of blue undertones – but it is definitely green and not blue!
Sherwin Williams Coastal Plain
This is a lighter, bright, beachy green color. It almost reminds me of sea glass!
Sherwin Williams Retreat
This is a dusty olive green color, with a lot of gray to it so it doesn’t at all feel overwhelming.
Sherwin Williams Acacia Haze
This is a dusty olive green color. Perfect for a trendy, sage green wall!
Benjamin Moore Sage Wisdom
This is a brighter sage green, but it still has those gray undertones that keep it from reading neon or pastel. A great color depth if you want green on your walls without feeling dark.
Sherwin Williams Svelte Sage
This paint color has a lot of yellow and brown it it. It almost looks khaki next to all of these other greens! However, put it with neutrals whites and wood tones and it will look more green.
A great option for a more neutral, beige sage!
Behr Bitter Sage
This is another great green. It reads as a lightened up olive green, with warm yellow and tan undertones.
Benjamin Moore Saybrook Sage
This shade of sage green has a lot of yellow to it. That gives it great warm, cozy undertones. I’d only use this one if your flooring or tile also has warm tones to it.
Farrow and Ball Lichen
This is a beautiful, lush green color. It has a bit more color to it compared to some of the more subdued options. It also has a lot of yellow and golden undertones.
Clare Paint Money Moves
This sage green paint color by Clare Paint has more blue to it than some of the others. It verges on mint, but has enough gray undertones to keep it from looking pastel.
Sherwin Williams Hazel
This is another great green option with a lot of blue undertones to it. You will especially see those cool tones in north-facing rooms as the cool light brings out the blue.
