Looking for the perfect deep blue paint color for your home? Let’s talk about Behr Nocturne Blue and if it might be right for your home!
Deep blues are a great way to add a bit of sophisticated drama to a room. They bring depth and a touch of elegance that's hard to beat.
I love how versatile deep blues are. They pair wonderfully with so many different colors and finishes, making them a great option if you want something bold but still easy to coordinate.
Today I'm reviewing Behr Nocturne Blue, a deep blue that's not quite navy. This refined shade will add character and a sense of peace to any space.

With an LRV of 7, Nocturne Blue is an extremely dark paint color.
In my experience, it’s lighter than some of the deepest blues out there, but it still packs plenty of richness.

Undertones
Nocturne Blue has gray undertones.
In south-facing rooms with lots of natural light, you'll notice Nocturne Blue looks a bit warmer and brighter, with more of a blue hue.
On the other hand, in north-facing rooms with less natural light, Nocturne Blue tends to lean cooler and darker, sometimes appearing almost navy, dark gray, or even black in the corners.
It's very important to swatch colors on your wall to make sure they look good – day and night – in your actual space before committing.
