Greige paint colors (Gray + Beige) have been ultra popular for a decade, and for a good reason.

What is similar about Agreeable Gray vs Accessible Beige?
These colors look almost identical at a glance and you really have to get them next to each other to spot the differences.

What is different about Agreeable Gray vs Accessible Beige?
The biggest difference between these colors is that Agreeable Gray is a gray color with beige undertones, while Accessible Beige is a beige color with gray undertones.
While that sounds silly in writing – it is evident when you look at them side by side.
You can see from the RBG (red blue green) counts that Agreeable Gray has a bit more blue and green to it compared to accessible beige. This results in it feeling slightly less warm in comparison.

Undertones
Agreeable Gray is a gray color with beige undertones. Those undertones have a bit of pink and yellow to them, giving it that tan color. Agreeable Gray also has some blue and green to it.
Accessible Beige does not have the blue and green but is instead tan and pink undertones, giving it a warmer look.
Agreeable Gray definitely is not a cool paint color – but it is much less warm than Accessible Beige.
Is accessible beige or agreeable gray better?
Neither of these colors is better than the other one and both are great neutral paint colors. However, Agreeable Gray is slightly less warm than accessible beige. If you want more of a true neutral, Agreeable Gray is a safer bet.
I always suggest sampling colors in your home on your actual walls, and for these similar colors samples are definitely needed!
If you are looking for a beige or tan – go with Accessible Beige. If you prefer gray – go with Agreeable Gray!
Accessible Beige is also SLIGHTLY darker compared to Agreeable Gray. Depending on the lighting in your home, it could make a difference!
